The American Beekeeping Federation (ABF) is offering four awards of $500 each to a beekeeper with a practical beekeeping idea that is relevant to other beekeepers. New this year, they are looking to fund an individual or a team that needs funding as part of a master beekeeping program.
Novel ideas are to be especially welcomed. Examples of practical ideas include, but are not limited to, a novel way of utilizing old bee boxes, an air conditioned bee suit, a more accurate method of sampling for varroa mites, a method of collecting colony information, or a hive design for people with disabilities.
You must be an ABF member and be ready to present your funding concept, if successful, at the annual ABF meeting in Baton Rouge Louisiana in January 2024. Deadline is October 1, 2023. For more details and how to request an award see https://abfnet.org/abf-bee-practical-award/
